Version 1.5 changes the power level from crank horsepower to wheel horsepower, this means more accurate speeds and acceleration as well as a more realistic and more noticeable difference between automatic and manual transmissions. Also made a few other performance changes for increased realism.

Unlike the straight line drag monsters of the muscle car era the 1969 and 1970 Mustang "Boss 302" package was designed to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am racing series. Much like the Chevy Camaro of the time both cars were well rounded mid size performance vehicles designed to blur the lines between a sports car and a muscle car, giving you a hefty amount of power while still retaining some sense of control and predictability. In addition to a unique stripe package and surprisingly effective aerodynamic upgrades the 69-70 "Boss 302" was equipped with a factory modified Ford 302 V8.
This relatively small V8 was specifically chosen over their more powerful yet much larger V8 engines such as the 351, 390 and 428. Hence, the Boss 302's advantage was power to weight ratio.
A few potent factory modifications over the standard 302 V8 included high flow cylinder heads from a larger 351C V8 with comparatively massive intake and exhaust valves for the smaller 302, high compression forged pistons, a solid lift mechanical camshaft making peak power at just over 6000 RPM, heavy duty forged crankshaft and connecting rods allowing racers to modify the engines to safely and reliably rev up to 8000 RPM, a dual plane intake manifold topped with a then state of the art Holly 780 CFM four barrel carburetor and last but not least a pair of high flow cast iron exhaust manifolds.
Advertised power was 290 HP @5200 RPM
Actual output is roughly 350 HP @6200 RPM.
When modified with just a proper high RPM cam output can vary from 380 to 470 HP depending on what RPM is achieved.
Installation instructions are included in the readme, I've include two transmissions to choose from, 3 speed auto and 4 speed manual.

@HellOnWheels357 Damn, that sucks man. Thanks for the stars though
@Impactjunky It's a bitch and a half. I have had nothing but problems with it for the past 6 months that I've owned it and I haven't been able to play any demanding game for the last month. Thankfully though, I have a solid game plan in place that will have my laptop performing like an absolute beast in about 3 weeks time, thanks to having it professionally repasted, repadded, and overclocked. I'm just waiting for them to replace it with a new model for the third damn time before I send it to the dude. In the mean time though I'm going to do a simple repaste so I can get back to gaming while I wait for the replacement. Dell destroyed Alienware. They used to be so damn good.
@ImpactJunky I decided screw the temperatures, I gotta test this shit; and fucking WOW. Dude. This thing is a handful to drive. I actually have to think about my driving when I e-brake into a corner at speed or else it'll spin right around on me. Jesus I'm in love. Driving the dirt roads from Grape Seed to Fort Zancudo trying to drift every corner and using only the e-brake for deceleration is best driving experience I've had in this game.
6/5 man. Thank you.
@HellOnWheels357 You're welcome man, glad you dig it. Thanks for the stars and the good review. The car is quite a lot of fun on dirt, as long as the driver knows how to handle a loose RWD car :) And I wish I could offer some input or assistance on your pc troubles but I know literally nothing about computers. I've only had a PC good enough to play games for a little over a year now. I bought this thing just to play with mods but I actually ended up making a few of my own after I found out a how things work.
@ImpactJunky It's all good brother. As i said, my computer troubles will be over soon, it's just a matter of patience. I should have a brand new replacement of my 17R4 by Friday, hopefully. Then I'm sending it to a guy who knows his shit that will tear the computer apart and replace the thermal pads with good Fujipoly brand pads and the sad, sad excuse for thermal paste Dell insists on using with Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal thermal paste. He's also gonna do a bunch of other things like torque each screw to spec, pressure tests, as well as three varying OC profiles. It should line up to where I will have a damn good rig when I get back from Vegas on the 15th of July.
These Alienwares are awesome machines if you can keep them cool. Mine has a 4GHz+ processor and a damn gtx 1080; but I haven't been able to enjoy them because they are constantly thermal throttling due to heat. Anyway, that should all be over soon.
As for your handling line, I'm a damn good driver in video games; especially since I play games with only two fingers being held straight with homemade splints. This car challenges me, as it should, and I fucking love it. I'm really looking forward to trying your Charger line going straight for the 426, but I have to figure out why I'm getting "invalid model" when I try to spawn it. I thought it might be some arguments in the .meta files as it seems the model maker likes to call it "Charger1969" and you favor "69charger", but I doubt it because I know you would have caught that if there were any conflicts. I'll figure it out soon enough and leave a rating for that too.
@Impactjunky Also I've been thinking about trying my hand at modeling/porting cars, but I'm a little worried. I have uploaded a handful of texture based work to this site and in the time I was creating and perfecting them, the only time I played the game was to check the looks. I feel like the more you mod the game, the less you actually play it.
I don't know what's going on with this Charger. Dragging and dropping your files gives me a "could not load model" error. I'm just confused about the different names it has. The setup2.xml and content.xml refer to it as "1969_Charger", his meta files refer to it as "Charger1969", and yours are "69charger". I don't mean any offense by this, I'm just trying to give you all the information so you might be able to help me. It works with just his files and the DLC folder named "Charger1969", I get a "could not load model" when I drop your files in (handling, vehicles, and carcols to dlc.rpf/data), and the game just crashes on start up when I tried to change pretty much all instances of "Charger1969" to "69charger", excluding the content2 and setup xmls. I'm gonna keep dicking around with it, but it'll just be shots in the dark.
@HellOnWheels357 Its spawn name is charger69 if I'm not mistaken
@Impactjunky I have an add-on spawn menu that I've been using, but I'll try doing it by name with simple native trainer.
@Impactjunky spawn name is 69charger. Simple trainer says it spawned but there's nothing there. I made a folder named Charger1969, put in his dlc file, and dragged and dropped your files into dlc/data where all of his handling, vehicles, and carcol metas are. I don't know man. I think I'm gonna delete a few of my responses from this page. They are unnecessary and loooooong lol.
@HellOnWheels357 This car is a stand alone dlc pack, last I checked it doesn't go in the dlc pack with tk's other cars.
@Impactjunky I didn't put it in with any pack. I meant that I made a folder named Charger1969 (located in mods/update/x64/dlcpacks) and dragged and dropped his dlc.rpf from the .rar file I downloaded. If I go straight into GTA from there, the car spawns and works just fine.. but it doesn't have your handling or anything.
When I replace his handling.meta, carcols.meta, and vehicles.meta with your modified versions and go back into GTA and try to spawn it, I get hit with the "could not load model" prompt. I was thinking about editing his vehicles.meta so the handling id points to your "69charger" named handling line, but I really wanna experience all the other cool shit you did besides just the handling.
@HellOnWheels357 I think the carcols.meta might be causing problems, not sure though. Someone else said the horn was revving the engine so maybe something is up. Try using it without the carcols and see if things work better.
@Impactjunky Same problem. He updated the car 16 hours ago with these fixes:
- new Chrome Material
- change bodystrips CLR to 4
- smaller hubs
- bigger rear wheels and axis adjustment
- polishing
maybe there's some new code that's conflicting with your mod.
@HellOnWheels357 That's not TK's, that's Neophyte's
@Impactjunky Well that would explain the incompatibility. Thank you.
@HellOnWheels357 No problem man, sorry for the confusion. I knew something like this would happen when Neophyte uploaded his charger right after I uploaded handling for tk's.
@Impactjunky Yea, I found your handling first. The mixup was because I searched "69 charger" for the model and his was the only one there.
@HellOnWheels357 I meant to ask, what's up with the splints on your fingers?
@Impactjunky Diving accident 9 years ago left me paralyzed from the chest down. Thankfully I still have partial function of my arms. Biceps, shoulders, back, those are good; chest, triceps, and hands are a no-go. You'd be amazed what you're capable of adapting to when you don't have any other options.
Not even sure if I could necessarily call this realistic.
