If you guys are itching for some more performance, somebody actually ported AMD's FSR to GTA 5. I can now keep a stable 60 FPS at all times at very high settings + PCSS shadows with ultra quality mode and it looks identical to native. Not sure if I am allowed to post the link but just search "GTA 5 FSR github" and it should come up. Instructions are on the github page itself. I'd recommend using either ultra quality or quality mode as they look pretty similar to native but yield massive performance improvements. FSR should work on pretty much every GPU as well. You have to play with DX11 however. Great mod by the way. Takes forever to install though unfortunately.
I'm not sure if this script helped out in specific since I didn't test it out, but I installed RDE 3.1.4, realistic weapon sounds, enable all interiors, bass dragon's euphoria ragdoll overhaul, visual vanilla, and all in one jobs/heists menu and I played the game quite a bit doing a variety of things and I never saw a drop below 60 FPS with the game played at very high settings with PCSS soft shadows, 8x reflection MSAA, high grass quality, and high flying detail and long shadows enabled in the advanced options. I remember seeing FPS drops down to the 50's with RDE installed so this script must be doing something. Considering how CPU intensive GTA 5 is especially with mods, I wouldn't be surprised if this script was actually stabilizing the FPS. Not going to rate it now but when I stop being lazy and actually test with and without the script I will rate the mod accordingly.
Mod has really bad performance issues and has crashes even with the updated 3.1.4 version. I'd recommend checking out some other police mods like dispatch and tactics advancement, at least until 4.0 comes out, which is supposed to be far more stable than 3.1.4/3.1.1 and have way better performance. If you really want to use this mod, join their discord server and download 3.1.4. Just be prepared for unexpected crashes and tons of FPS drops.
Is there a way to dispatch more cops? Is this an intended feature with the script or is it a bug? There's literally no cops coming after me at any wanted star level. With 5 stars a roadblock occasionally appears with one cop but that's it. If this is an intended feature of the mod, is there any way to disable this? All I really want is the arrest warrants. Sort of like RDE where there's a crap ton of cops during chases but you can still have a warrant on your head.
Probably my favorite police rebalance mod. The police are fair and fun to fight and there's a lot more dispatch variety, fitting in with the vanilla game quite well. I do like mods like RDE but they just go too over the top and they're not performance friendly in the slightest. It does have one issue though if you're playing with the army at 5 stars, and that is that the army blips on the radar while you're escaping will not appear at all, making getting away with this option selected very difficult. As a result I would recommend disabling the army entirely and using a script like 6 stars army (haven't tested) to dispatch army instead.
This mod seems to be very useful for mods such as world of variety which uncompress some textures, therefore causing frame drops even on mid-high end hardware. Will have to test this later and report back with the results.
I used this mod and vanillaworks (default settings, current version) and it worked just fine. No crashes.
How do you compress the textures? Do you have some kind of pack that already contains the compressed textures? Sorry for the noob question, lol. I really want to get this mod running good because it's a good mod but the performance drops kill me, especially considering the fact that my current setup is way better than my last one yet performance hasn't changed at all
Is there a way to revert the cop search radius increase? I feel like it's far too high. Great mod.
Interesting. There's no difference between the compressed and uncompressed versions. How do you compress them though? What textures does the mod replace?
