Hey!
You wanna have the AI in GTA 5 to be more spicy, tactical & realistic? You are not interested in constant gun and run that insults your intelligence and are but more likely to actually fight your way through enemies? In a life where interactions and combat feal like they mean something?
This mods overhauls ingame Combat and AI Balance.
Combat will now feel and be more immersive, punishing, tactical and intense!
The decision between taking cover or not are not just secondary, but a major instance of all the gameplay!

Install thsi mod after RDE, World of Variety or whatever you might use.
Install this mod after all the other mods, UNLESS you install an dispatch overhaul mod, then install that one last.
Works with Graphics, Script, Texture, and other mods.

@Venator Hey man, do you know where to tweak SWAT ai so they can work in teams?
@thehappytrashcan What you mean "Tweak SWAT AI" to work in Teams? With or without this mod? The SWAT does not have any extra AI, the AI for Combat is universal. The settings are in combattasks.ymt, the tactical checking timers in tacticalanalysis.ymt, and the values for what position to prefer in movementtasks.ymt. You can only modify SWAT behaviour with the FLAGS and settings available in combatbehaviour.meta: "SWAT". Or you need to script via scripthookV or ScriptHookVDotNet or similar, what would be more difficult but would allow you to override with your own custom AI for certain NPCs, like SWAT.
Hi VenatorMods! First off, I wanna say your AI mod is absolutely fantastic—its realism and combat mechanics are top-tier!
I installed the RDE mod first, then added your AI system mod afterward. But the game keeps crashing whenever I get a wanted level, and I really hope you can fix this compatibility issue in the next update.

@wxwx Hi, i found an error. I am sorry, i tested on an older version of RDE and assumed it would work fine, as none of the core files changed, but i mistaken, it does not. I will upload a new version, RDE_compatible v1.0.0.

what's the prop flag to have helmets have bulletproof properties?
@bloolol None, you have to set their headshot damage multiplier for each weapon in their corresponding meta file (weapons.meta weapons meta files in the DLCs) to a value that allows peds with high armour (armoured NPCs usually wear helmets) to have more health and thus resist headshots. Its armour, health, and weapon damage bound. Not Helme-t object bound. I set most multipliers, depending on the weapon, to 4.0 to 6.0.

I wanted to tell you something: when I hide somewhere impossible to find, like in an alley, the police know where I am, but the only ones who don't know are the helicopters. They behave realistically when searching, but most of the police on foot or in ground vehicles know where I'm hiding. This happens to me when I have RDE. @TrevorIndustries47 Thanks man! Always happy to please someone with my work. NexusMods will likely follow for this mod as soon as i got time. I got NexusMods already, jet this mod not released there. And about your question: I am constantly working to improve the behaviour with my next mod. The issue is know, the reason is simple. The cops will, after some time, always get close to your position, regardless of ingame mods and tunings. Maybe its more extreme on the RDE GTA 5, or on the GTA 5 without any mods, but its a fundamental thing in the game AI. Assuming, this is hardcoded in the game. Without scripting, this will not really change. When i got a better solution to at least improve it, or a fix, i will of coures share it!

@TrevorIndustries47 Hey. So, i this script i found, works for your desired goals, at least partially, for me. It should already be installed with RDE4.0.0, but maybe its not fully working / overriden in your version. https://github.com/cpast/GTA_Combat_Tweaks/releases . Combattweaks.asi. If you already go it, that might not be the issue, but for me, it partially works when combined with my mod.

Your mod is great, but their must be a flaw in the weapon animations file. Because my frag grenades model ends up turning into the model for the grenade launcher 40mm. Please fix this
I used the uninstaller on your mod and it instantly crashes my game
@logoso2020 unfortunately its up to the user to make sure they make backups. Secondly, most uninstallers are only meant for vanilla installs with just this (or you're sure you haven't edited any of the other files this one installs). All the installer normally does is take out this modded file and place back the vanilla one. In the future, feel free to backup your modded directory before plunging in that way you can delete and paste the backup. Also, notes for anyone - you should be able to view the oiv (its like a zip) and see what files are in the uninstaller, find your modded version and place it there.
@Venator what kind of tactics improvement are there? I've been using Pev SALE and its been good in that department but I think I might be ripping it out (lots of junk in the trunk) in favor of this and a few other more manageable modular mods.
@logoso2020 I see, i will test it. Please make sure to know i am always just providing backup for the absolute vanilla game, if you have custom mods installed, you would have to backup those yourself.
@logoso2020 I actually never encountered the bug, can you be more specific about the problem please :). So your normal frag grenades model changes? You use any other mods? Is it always? I can look into it.
@logoso2020 Yes, you are right, there is a bug with the uninstaller it seems, my bad. I dont know why though, but i can fix it with next update as soon as possible
For now, i would recommend you to use the manual uninstaller files.
Or to delete the old mods folder (if you used one).
@dimedius @Venator I installed rde and it seemed to fix it. The only other mod I use is Immersive combat, and a grenade mod
