Description
This modification will modify the Assault Shotgun in various ways described below.
This is the first part (or the first weapon) of a global weapon overhaul project. I'm aiming for a modular, per weapons approach. Stay tuned for more.
This modification was created in first person, for first person, even if it should remain perfectly acceptable in third.

- Stronger vertical recoil.
- Bigger and randomized muzzleflashes, the weapon will not produce muzzleflashes all the time. Sometimes smoke, sometimes a flash.
- The weapon will produce light when fired, that effect was already present in the base game, but the values were so low it was barely noticeable, tweaked them to illuminate the surroundings better during nighttime.
- Extended magazine (32 rounds drum magazine) installed by default on the weapon.
- Slower reload speed.
- Michael Bay-like impact effects, to reinforce the feeling you're shooting with something powerful, might change in the future based on feedback.
- Considerably altered the rate of fire, the weapon will shoot faster.
- Doubled the amount of the effective range of the weapon.
How to install
- Start OpenIV
- Navigate to Grand Theft Auto V \ update \ update.rpf \ common \ data \ ai
- Activate edit mode
- Replace (you can just drag and drop) weapons.meta, weaponcomponents.meta, weaponanimations.meta with the ones coming in this archive
- Disable edit mode
- Enjoy !

This sounds like a lot of fun, thank you. In real life the AA12 is such a beast of a weapon.
Incompaitible with "Refined Weapons and Gunplay Mod" of course, if you try to use it with this in-game you cannot use any weapon and your character model will be stuck in a T pose. Besides that I look forward to the global overhaul and nice over image too! Cheers.
@MarcusBlack Yup. Both mod are modifying the same files and there's nothing i could do to avoid that.
I want to make my own tweaks,both with the weapon's mag. Basically, I kinda want the default mag to not be the extended one. The extended one will have like 20 rounds in it. halp pls
What lines do you change per weapon to alter fire rate and reload speed?
@Nelson01023 Take a look inside weaponcomponents.meta and edit ClipSize value under COMPONENT_ASSAULTSHOTGUN_CLIP_01. If you don't understand or find what i said i can't help you more than that.
@BigTinz AnimReloadRate value in weapons.meta and AnimFireRateModifier / AnimBlindFireRateModifier in weaponanimations.meta.

i noticed that theres almost no blood shooting at pedestrians. pls fix it i really like your mod. another recommendation is to change the silencer to the AK silencer (i did and it looks waay better) and changed the sound to the remote sniper rifle which is the only good suppressor sound ingame. Feels like a commando rifle now.
Please make a super rapid fire mini gun like - shotgun. With 250 shells in drum mag.
