@icebox84 Late reply, but thank you for your response a while back. I never got it to spawn in as the Ruiner even after replacing it in what I thought were all the different locations in the files. Now I'm thankful the creator made a Add-On version.
@Frostelis Oh perfect! I'm glad you figured it out! You're also aware that in the same handling file, you can adjust the acceleration and top speed of the vehicle as well? By making changes to the following,
<fInitialDriveForce value="0.380000" /> (Acceleration)
<fInitialDriveMaxFlatVel value="245.000000" /> (Top Speed)
@Frostelis I noticed that as well. I assume you are referring to the Add-On version. You will need to follow these instructions.
In OpenIV: mods > update > update.rpf > common > data > handling.meta (Drag the handling.meta to your desktop and open with notepad). Once handling.meta is opened with notepad, search (ctrl+f) for "ruiner". You will want to highlight and copy the vehicles handling information from
<fMass value="1300.000000" /> down to </Item>
Close the notepad.
AND THEN,
In OpenIV: mods > update > x64 > dlcpacks > camaro02 > dlc.rpf > data > handling.meta (Drag the handling.meta to your desktop. Copy and replace existing handling file. Open with notepad) You are going to highlight from <fMass value=… down to </Item> and then paste the information you copied from the ruiner's handling information to overwrite what the creator of this Camaro had that made the car too light and floaty. SAVE the note pad. LASTLY, make sure OpenIV edit mode is on, and then drag the handling notepad file from your desktop back into
mods > update > x64 > dlcpacks > camaro02 > dlc.rpf > data > handling.meta. This will overwrite the file in the game. Turn off edit mode, exit OpenIV and then the Camaro02 will now handle normally
The '02 SS looks great, but unfortunately the model is not spawning in game when I spawn in "Ruiner" using the simple trainer. The original ruiner keeps spawning. I replaced the the model in the correct location. Do you have an idea as to why this happens?
Definitely an amazing mod. I'm not sure if it's a bug or your intensions but I noticed for the add-on version, when tinting the windows to any shade darker, the headlights and gauge cluster changes their shades also. Lastly, this isn't an issue because some car mods do this as well but while tinting the windows, the front windshield becomes darker instead of staying clear. Aside from all that, this mod is near perfection in my opinion.
Flawless mod! Would you be able to make a 2002 SS Camaro? If so, how much would it cost for your effort?
@hndsyrn how much?
Great mod! Can you please make a 2002 SS Camaro? I'd definitely make a donation.
@Shadows43 Thanks bro. It worked for me.
Greatly appreciate you taking it into consideration.
