INSTEAD OF REDISTRIBUTING, LINK THE DOWNLOAD!
BetterRadioV counteracts the annoying game feature of the radio turning on to a random-ass station whenever the engine is started for the first time in a vehicle. The radio will remain off until it is turned on by the player. Also, BetterRadioV includes a configurable hotkey(default: NUMPAD MINUS) that will turn off the radio.
If you would like to change the key, click here and pick a key. Copy the hexadecimal code(ie: 0x08) and paste it in the ini appropriately.
Put "BetterRadioV.asi" and "BetterRadioV.ini" in X:\\Grand Theft Auto V\
Ensure you have ScriptHookV installed properly.
If there are any new modders out there, the source is included as "Source.cpp"
Open it with notepad, Visual Studio, Eclipse, whatever.
The source code is written for "dummies," please forgive my obvious comments.

@CrazyMaisy3 this script is very useful! It would be even better if the radio remains turned on when the player enters on a vehicle that has already engine and radio on (for example when you steal a car with occupants or when you get from a bike). I hope I have given you an idea ;) Nice work, though!

@CrazyMaisy3 Great Job! Nice and simple. I have a few idea's for a script mod if you are interested. I'm looking for help making a realism mod where NPC'S driving lowriders use their hydraulics in traffic. Especially at stoplights. Even driving in small fleets while they do so. Rockstar forgot to add this as well as being able to lock your lowrider in position on vehicle exit. This was a feature that was used in GTA San Andreas. Would you be interested on working on this project? I'm always willing to collaborate!

Currently the radio is off for everyone. Even for AI on the street.
Can you make it:
1. When the vehicle has a running / running engine and playing music = after entering the vehicle the music continues to play.
2 = When vehicle is off / not running engine = when engine is switched on music does not play and radio is off?
