You need the latest GTA5 1.0.2545.0 patch for this mod to work. The location of the textures changed with this update, it will not install on older patches of the game.
Hello!!! This mod adds colored Radio, Weapon and Map Blips to the game HUD!!!
The following mod is based on Colorful HUD (Weapons, Radio & Map Blips) (https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/colorful-hud) by "POLOPAI". I am not taking any credit for the work that he has done. I simply colored the weapons that have been released by Rockstar since the last time "POLOPAI" updated his mod.
I also suggest that you use this mod together with "Remastered Old Gen Radar" from @Alex106
https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/nxg-radar

@CorpseGrinder @Happy_havoc With the 1.0.2545.0 update the location changed for scaleform_generic.rpf. If you don't have it the new location I really don't know how you solve that issue. I hope that the issue comes down to you still use the old "update" folder for your mods. If you want to install to the old location, change .oiv to .zip extension, open the zip, edit the assembly.xml, and change the first path from "\x64\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf" to "\x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf", save assembly.xml, 7zip should let you know that the archive has been updated. Once this is done change .zip to .oiv. Install. Should work.
I have exactly the same issue.
@useruser111 Hi. Can you please make the previous version of the mod available again? This version will only work with the latest version of the game, but 1. not everyone has the latest version, and 2. to fix my minimaps for the latest version, I reveted the location of scaleform_generic.rpf back to update.rpf/x64/patch/data/cdimages/ , so now my minimaps and pause menu are working, but people complain in our comments that your mod isn't. In the near future I will import my minimaps in other way, so I won't have to change scaleform_generic, but even then, there will be people with an older version of the game having "problems" installing your mod. Great work, btw.
For anyone having problems after installing my fix for the minimaps or using an older version of the game, you have to open the installer.oiv for this mod using winrar or something, go to content/all and drop hud.ytd and mp_big....ytd, using OpenIV, in /mods/update/update.rpf/x64/patch/data/cdimages/scaleform_generic.rpf/ and minimap.ytd to /mods/update/update.rpf/x64/patch/data/cdimages/scaleform_minimap.rpf/
Thank you very much! This does the job.
@LorenVidican I republished the old version. Check pinned comment as well.
@useruser111 Ok, thank you! But it's way easier if you have both of them, so people can choose.
@LorenVidican that is why I republished the old version. You can just download that one instead.
@useruser111 Or, another idea, if you want you can just set the oiv to put the files in generic.rpf from patch and also the one directly from data. Sure, one of them will be absent, the oiv will create one, but that one will not be in content.xml, so the game will ignore it. I just tested it and it's working. In this way you can keep only one and avoid the question "which one should I install?".
@useruser111 From the screenshot it looks like you missed a few radio stations. Is this compatible with the newest version of simple trainer that adds all the DLC radio stations into singleplayer?
@toobalooboolama gotta read the change log in the description to see what is included. The answer is "yes".
@useruser111 Thanks for the info. The only thing holding me back is I do not want to change the map icons at all.
@useruser111 I fixed the bug. You have to manually create a copy of the "scaleform_generic.rpf" file in the mods folder, after which the installation will be successful
i cant see self radio
@YUAN_ZONG i have the same issue all i need is to bring back my MK2 icons can anyone help me?
could you please port it to fivem ?
Good!!!
@useruser111 Is this compatible with the latest GTA V?
@SnakeVenom33939 Yes it should, unless they changed the folder structure again. Install it and check if all the icons work, if not let me know and I will download the game and fix it.
@MisTerioNess not sure how FiveM servers work. But if FiveM has the correct files, you should be able to manually replace them. You can use 7zip to extract the .OIV file and use the .xml to see the approx location of these files. But I really have no idea how FiveM works.
@useruser111 Sorry I took so long to respond, I just recently got back to gta 5 modding on graphics. I can confirm that it does work with the latest version. I just had to manually install it using the tutorial above.
